Obesity is a chronic disease affecting more than 100 million people in the United States, yet it remains under treated. In combination with comprehensive lifestyle changes, anti-obesity medications are highly effective for weight reduction, which may translate to additional health benefits for the patient. In this live social media event, Drs Bays, Garvey, and Seger discuss a patient living with obesity with a history of prior myocardial infarction and pre diabetes, and their approach to treatment and common challenges faced in clinical practice.
